Dr. Ahed J Alkhatib is a retired forensic medicine researcher and continuing medical researcher with an excellent background in immunology and toxicology. With decades of academic and clinical experience, Dr. khatib has tested novel hypotheses in connection of metabolic diseases and systemic inflammation. His recent efforts have focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying vascular complications in diabetes, as well as being very interested in translational research for therapy development. He still publishes, plays a mentoring role, and attends international meetings on the pathophysiology of chronic diseases and personalized medicine.
