Diabetes and Endocrinology World Conference (DEWC) 2025 is a leading event focused on advancing knowledge and fostering collaboration in obesity and metabolism research. It brings together a global community of experts, researchers, and practitioners to share groundbreaking findings, innovative ideas, and impactful solutions. Whether presenting in-person or online, attendees will find a rich context to engage with Questions, exhibit their work, and network with their peers. Key information and procedures regarding in-person and online presentations, registration, poster sessions, and awards can be found below:

 

In-Person Presentations

  • All in-person presentations will occur at Village Hotel Changi, 1 Nether Avon Road, Singapore.
  • The conference will start at 8:30 AM each day, and presenters should arrive at least 30 minutes before their session to check in and set up.
  • The session will commence promptly at 08:30 AM with an opening ceremony, followed by keynote presentations, speaker sessions, and poster presentations
  • A map of the venue will be available on the conference website

 

Virtual Presentations:

Virtual presentations will be hosted via Zoom.

Zoom access links will be sent to all virtual presenters one week before the conference. Ensure you have tested your audio/video setup before your session.

Abstract Review and Selection

Submission Deadline: Abstracts must be submitted on the conference website or by email before the deadline.

Review Process: The conference organizing committee will review all submitted abstracts. The criteria for selection include:

Relevance to obesity and metabolism research

Originality and quality of content

Clarity of writing and presentation

Accepted Abstracts: Authors must register by [Registration Deadline Date] to confirm participation.

Registration

Registration Process: All attendees, including speakers, must register online via [Conference Website or Registration Link].

Early Registration: Take advantage of the early bird rates by registering before [Early Registration Deadline].

Late Registration: Standard registration fees will apply after [Late Registration Deadline].

Payment: Accepted payment methods include [Credit Card, Bank Transfer, etc.].

Speaker Guidelines

Presentation Length: Each session will consist of a 20-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute Q&A.

Presentation Format: Please submit your presentation in PowerPoint or PDF format by [Submission Deadline Date].

On-site: Speakers should arrive at least 30 minutes before their session to set up and coordinate with the session chair.

Virtual Speakers: Please ensure you have a reliable internet connection, a microphone, and a camera for the session.

Virtual Presentation Guidelines

Platform: All virtual presentations will be hosted via Zoom.

Access Link: Zoom links for virtual presentations will be provided via email one week before the event.

Technical Requirements:

Ensure your internet connection is stable.

Test your microphone, camera, and screen-sharing functionality before your session.

Presenters are encouraged to join the virtual platform 15 minutes before their scheduled session for setup.

Presentation Format: Share your screen to display your slides during your presentation. Presentations should be formatted in PowerPoint or PDF.

Poster Guidelines

Submission: Please submit your poster as a PDF or Image file for online viewing at least 10 days before the conference.

Poster Setup: Physical posters should be mounted at the designated poster area before the start of the conference. Mounting materials will be provided.

Poster Session: Presenters are expected to be available to discuss their poster during the designated poster session. You will be able to interact with conference attendees and discuss your work.

 

Certification:

 

  • Attendees will receive a certificate with their name and affiliation per our records. For any changes or requests, please get in touch with us at least one month before the conference.
  • At the end of the conference, each participant will receive a certificate from the session chair or co-chair.
  • The E-certificate will be emailed in 2-3 working days after the completion of the conference.
  • It's important to note that co-authors not registered for the conference will not be eligible to receive a certificate.

The Best Oral Presentation Award at DEWC awards outstanding research presentations and outstanding delivery. To be eligible for this award, follow the guidelines below:

Eligibility: All oral presentations are eligible for the Best Oral Presentation Award. You must be the primary author or co-author of the work being presented.

Judging Criteria: Presentations will be judged based on the following:

Content Quality: Clarity, originality, and significance of the research.

Presentation Skills: Ability to engage the audience, speech clarity, and effective communication of complex ideas.

Visual Aids: Use presentation slides or visual aids that enhance understanding of the research.

Organization: Well-structured presentation with a clear introduction, methodology, results, and conclusion.

Response to Questions: Ability to answer questions from the audience confidently and thoughtfully.
